Christian Löffler has released Graal (Prologue) as a precursor to an upcoming album for later this year. Graal (Prologue) is an ode to the German producer’s seaside hometown of Graal-Müritz, where he was born and still currently resides.

Löffler is an avid painter in his spare time, an likens the creative process of painting to that of making music. “Still, today, it’s the same feeling that drives me, and it makes no difference what I use for it, whether it is music or paint.” he says. The video for the previous single lifted from the album ‘Like Water Ft Mohna’ was accompanied by a music video featuring his artworks.

Following an intense period of live concerts, where his music felt stagnated Löffler would find himself solely focussed on visual art – painting, drawing, and “some video stuff”, but absolutely no music. This return to his roots reminded him how it felt when he first started making music, and allowed him to “turn off my brain a bit, especially thoughts about what is possible or not.” Thus, Graal (Prologue) came into fruition, and will be followed by a release later this year where each track will be accompanied by a painting he created himself.
